Description

The cross in the churchyard, located about 15 metres east of the lychgate in Torbryan Hamlet, is a Grade II listed structure. It features a granite socket-stone and the lower part of a cross-shaft, which have been repurposed as a war memorial. The cross is medieval in origin and includes a 20th-century octagonal base and head. The socket-stone is octagonal with a chamfered top, and the south face bears an inscription commemorating the 1939-45 war. The shaft is chamfered and has pyramid stops.
