Description

Dolphin Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features painted roughcast over cob and has a half-hipped thatch roof with an external lateral stack on the front right. The building has a one-unit plan and is two storeys high with a single window range. The ground floor includes a 20th-century two-light glazed lean-to on the front and a planked door to the left. Inside, there is a spiral staircase to the rear left, evidence of a former open fireplace to the right, and a massive chamfered crossbeam on the ground floor. The roof has three bays with trenched purlins.
