Description

Vennbridge Farmhouse is a disused farmhouse from the early 19th century. It has a whitewashed and rendered exterior with a slate roof that is gabled at both ends and features two stacks at each end. The building has a double depth plan, consisting of two rooms wide with a central entrance. There is a 20th-century lean-to at the rear left and a two-storey lean-to at the left end, which has a flight of external steps.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front. It includes a central 20th-century gabled porch and a 19th-century panelled front door, which has glazed top panels. The ground floor has 16-pane 19th-century timber sash windows, while the first floor features three 12-pane 19th-century timber sashes. On the rear elevation, there is one ground floor 16-pane timber sash with shutters, and two similar sashes without shutters on the first floor, along with a central 12-pane 19th-century timber sash. A corrugated iron-clad lean-to covers a pump and granite trough.

The interior has not been thoroughly inspected, but a mid-19th-century marble chimney piece is preserved in the front right ground floor room. The farm buildings that were previously in front of the house have been demolished.
