Description
Coffard Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1850, constructed from rendered stone or cob and stone, with a slate roof that is half-hipped at both ends. The building features a double depth plan, consisting of two rooms wide with a central entrance, where the principal rooms are located at the front and the service rooms at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front that includes a Doric portico supported by timber columns that are broader at the base. The front door, which dates from the 19th century, is panelled and has a rectangular fanlight above it. The ground floor has 19th-century transomed casements with glazing bars on the left and right, while the centre window on the first floor is also from the 19th century. The outer first floor windows are 16-pane horned sashes from the same period. There are 20th-century windows on the left and right returns of the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain a 19th-century staircase and joinery.
