Description

The Church of St Mary is a Grade II listed building located on Cofton Lane in Dawlish. Originally built as a chapel in the 13th century, it fell into disrepair and was used as a dissenting chapel in the 17th century. The church was restored and reopened in 1839, with Charles Fowler as the architect. A north aisle was added in 1864. The structure is made of stone rubble, with the lower part of the walls dating back to the medieval period. It features a slate roof and renewed lancet windows. The aisle and porch were added in the late 19th century.
