Description
Home Cottage is a house that was formerly two cottages, likely built in the 18th century, with a rear addition from the 19th or 20th century. The exterior features rendered and plastered stone rubble walls and a thatched roof that is hipped at the right end and gabled at the left. There is a rendered rubble stack with a brick shaft located at the left gable end. The building has been converted into one house, with its plan altered in the 20th century, and it now probably consists of three rooms, with the entrance located in the right-hand room. The exterior is two storeys high and presents an asymmetrical front with five windows, featuring later 20th-century leaded pane casements in one, two, and three-light configurations. A 20th-century thatched porch is positioned towards the right-hand end, complete with a plank door. The interior was inaccessible during the survey.
