Description
The walls surrounding the Baptist burial ground are a complete walled enclosure, likely built in the 19th century, although they could be older. Constructed from rubble, the walls feature a flat slate-stone capping beneath a rounded top with edge stones. There is approximately 18 meters of wall along the roadside, standing about 2 meters high, with a central plank door. To the right, there is a round buttress that serves as a gate pier. The walls return at a higher level on the right, forming a near-square enclosure. A mounting block is located near the center door. Inside the burial ground, there are numerous monuments, including several notable stone slate slabs, some of which reference cholera victims. This burial ground is owned by Kingsbridge Baptist Chapel.
