Description

The gateway to the burial ground of the former Baptist Chapel is likely from the early 19th century. It features square gate piers made of limestone ashlar, which have moulded weathered cappings. The entrance includes double cast-iron gates adorned with large spearheads, as well as a cast-iron overthrow that displays scrolled decoration and an empty lantern holder. The original Baptist Chapel, built in the 18th century, was demolished in the 20th century.
