Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters west-northwest of Bowden, dates from the 17th century and is constructed from stone rubble with a slate roof featuring half-hipped ends. It has a cart entrance that includes a slated hood and a large timber lintel; while the chamfered lintel of the door frame remains, the jambs are missing. The lower west end is floored, and there is a segmental arched ground floor doorway with a loft door situated above it. Additionally, a hay door can be found at the east end. Inside, the barn features a 19th-century roof supported by scissor trusses, and the floor at the lower end showcases stop-chamfered beams.
