Description

Elmtree House is a house that is currently used as the Kitley Estate Office. It was built in the early 19th century and features stone rubble construction with stucco and brick dressings. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and it has overhanging eaves. The building has stuccoed rusticated quoins and voussoirs. It is two storeys tall and has three bays. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and red brick jambs, and the ground floor has cornices supported by console brackets. The central entrance includes a fielded panel door, a rectangular fanlight, and a porch with fluted columns and an entablature. The south elevation, which faces Fore Street, has four bays.
