Description

Milestone located approximately 200 metres west of Toll Cottage, dating from the 19th century. It is a painted granite block, triangular in section, and is mostly hidden in the embankment. The inscription reads: "To Kings 7 to Mod 1/2." This milestone is situated on the Modbury to Kingsbridge turnpike, although the inscription incorrectly refers to Kingston.
