Description
MODBIIRY BROAD STREET SX 6451-5551 (north side) 7/68 No 4 (Faith, boutique) 25.1.57 GV II
House and shop. Mid to late C19. Smooth rendered, slate roof. Two storeys, 3 windows; at ground floor a good C19 display front with 2 canted 1:2:1-light bays with slender mullions to small capitals and bases and arched heads to lights, flanking central glazed door of same date, with overlight, all to fascia with cornice returned a ends to decorative brackets on pilasters. To left a 6-panel door under plain overlight, to right the same but with stone cornice on con- soles. First floor has three 12-pane sashes to segmental heads, moulded archi- traves, and cills on brackets. Box eaves. No stack visible. A very complete frontage with elegant display window. Back has a slate-hung gable with a multi- pane sash window.
