Description
No 66 Brownston Street is a narrow frontage house located on the east side of Brownston Street in Modbury. It features an early 19th-century facade that may be built on earlier materials. The house is rough rendered with an asbestos-cement slate roof and stands two storeys tall, with two windows. The ground floor has a 16-pane sash window, while the first floor has a 12-pane window set within moulded architraves. The cills of the left bay windows are adorned with shells that serve as brackets. To the right, there is a 6-panel door situated on two stone steps. The plinth of the building meets the pavement on the left side. Although it is a modest structure, its small scale suggests it may have been built before the current facade was added.
