Description

No. 65 on Brownston Street is a house and shop, likely built in the late 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It features smooth render and a hipped slate roof, with a large external brick stack that has offsets on the right side. The building has three storeys and one window. The ground floor includes a canted display window with plate glass in a 1:4:1 configuration, topped by a box fascia that extends over a 20th-century glazed door to the left. On the first floor, there is a 4-pane sash oriel window, while the second floor has a 20th-century wooden casement window that does not conform to the original style. This building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
