Description
No. 9 Broad Street is a house and shop located at the end of a row, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features slate hanging and a large rendered external stack on the left, topped with a slate roof. It has three storeys and two windows. The ground floor on the left includes a canted bay with a 2:12:2-pane sash window, which is topped by a frieze and a dentilled cornice. To the right, there is a shallow canted plate glass display front from the 19th century, featuring a 20th-century glazed door, with its frieze and cornice positioned higher than those on the left side. The first and second floors each have 12-pane sash windows. At the back, there is a cropped eaves stack and a long stair window. There was previously another building to the left of this property, leaving an exposed former party wall.
