Description
Rock Cottage is a small cottage, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with a thatch roof that has a half-hipped design at the right end. There is a brick chimney stack at the left gable end. The cottage probably originally had a two-room central entrance plan, with a heated room on the left side, but the internal ground floor partitions were removed in the 20th century. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range. The windows are from the 20th century, with deep reveals on the upper floor. There is a slated canopy over the 20th-century porch, and a lean-to with a slate roof at the right end. There are no rear outshuts, and the interior has been altered.
