Description
The Nook is a cottage that dates back to the 18th century and was extended in the early 20th century. It is constructed from stone rubble and cob, featuring a thatched roof with gable ends. A large rubble chimney stack is located at the right end, with a slated canopy over the bread oven. Originally, it was a two-cell cottage, but the internal ground floor partitions have been removed, and there is a single-bay, two-storey addition at the left end. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range, with 20th-century two-light casements. A thatched porch is present, along with a slated outshot at the rear. The interior has undergone significant alterations.
