Description

KINGS NYMPTON KINGS NYMPTON SS 61 NE 3/145 Brewers Cottage GV II Tenement farmhouse, now private dwelling. Probably late C17 or early C18. Painted rendered stone rubble and cob. Thatched roof with gable ends. Brick shaft to stone rubble stack at right end with slated bread oven projection and front lateral stack with brick shaft close to left gable end. Plan. Single room to each side of entrance passage containing staircase. The larger room to left is heated by the front lateral stack. Exterior: 2 storeys. 3-window range. Early C20 fenestration, all 3-light casements 2 panes per light. 4-panelled door, the upper 2 panels glazed. Interior: not inspected.
