Description
This building is a barn and shippon with a granary above, located approximately 15 metres south of Wallover Barton. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof that is half-hipped at the right end. The structure is rectangular in shape, featuring a short gabled projection at the left rear end, with the shippon and granary positioned at the right end. The barn is partially lofted at the upper end and has large double plank doors, along with square openings on the right side. The shippon and granary project slightly forward and include external stone steps leading to the granary's double plank doors, with a shippon door located beneath the platform. There are ventilation slits to the left of the steps, and additional double plank doors on the left gable end of the barn provide access to the lofted upper end. The roof trusses have been replaced.
