Description
Leworthy Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered stone rubble, featuring slate-hanging on the left gable end and a scantle slate roof. There are brick stacks at each end and a rear lateral stack made of rubble with a brick shaft. The building has a three-cell through-passage plan and includes a granary outbuilding with external stone steps at the right gable end. The left end of the farmhouse, which slightly projects forward, was probably extended in the 19th century.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has a four-window range, with 19th to 20th century casements. There is a gabled half dormer on the left end and a horizontal sliding sash window with six panes per light to its right. A porch with a lean-to slate roof features a half-glazed plank door. On the ground floor, there is a 20th century casement window on the left side, which has a slate dripmould. The rear of the building has three outshuts, with the right one covered by a slate roof. The interior has not been inspected but appears to have undergone significant alterations.
