Description
56 and 56A Fore Street is a terraced house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a tiled hipped roof. The building has three storeys and two windows. On the left side, there is a prominent wide doorway recess with panelled reveals and soffit, leading to a six-fielded panelled door and sidelights. On the right, No. 56A has a 19th-century shopfront that includes a part-glazed door with two recessed panels, a window with a fascia board, a box cornice, and a moulded sill. The first and second floors have recessed 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the third floor has blind windows. The interior has not been inspected. All the listed buildings on Fore Street are part of a group.
