Description
58 and 59 Fore Street is a terraced house, now divided, likely built in the 18th century and altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features painted brickwork with moulded strings at the floor levels and has a slate roof with a dormer and moulded eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall, with an attic and a semi-basement. There are five windows, although the central window is blind. All openings are segmental arched with keystones and appear to have had their heads replaced. There are two recessed entrances; No. 59 has a six-panel door, while No. 58 has been altered to a window. No. 58 features a hornless six-pane square-headed sash window on the ground floor, with two-pane sashes on the upper floors. No. 59 has late 20th-century UPVC windows, with mostly moulded sills on both properties. The interior has not been inspected. All the listed buildings in Fore Street form a group.
