Description
No 18 on Mill Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic and features a three-window facade made of colourwashed brickwork. The windows have been significantly altered, but the wood frames with transoms and mullions may be original. The building has casement windows with lattice. It displays rusticated quoins, a stone string band at the first floor, and a splayed stone plinth. There is a flight of four semi-circular steps leading to the central entrance, which has a moulded frame set in a plain segmental-headed reveal. The roof is adorned with three gabled dormers covered in old tiles. The entrance features a modern half-glazed door topped by a shell hood supported on consoles. All the listed buildings on both sides of Mill Street form a group.
