Description
25 Mill Street is a Grade II listed building that consists of two structures. The first, formerly No 23, is a charming small two-storey timber-framed house likely dating from the 16th century, located at the rear of No 21. The upper storey is jettied and features closely set studding, while the lower storey is constructed with heavy square timber framing. To the right side, there is an 18th-century brick extension, and to the left of the entrance, there is a modern oriel bay. The roof is covered with old tiles.
The front wing, which was once separate, dates from the 18th century and is made of whitewashed brick with painted chamfered quoins. It has a possibly stone-moulded painted stone cornice and an old tiled roof. This section has two storeys and attics, with two gabled casement dormers and two wide 19th-century casements within their surrounds. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a fanlight, plain reveal, pilasters, and an archivolt. This building was once known as the Warwick Castle Inn.
All the listed buildings along Mill Street, on both sides, are part of a cohesive group.
