Description

This is an 18th-century building of two stories plus an attic, originally with a three-window front of red brick, featuring painted stone or stucco dressings. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a good semi-circular fanlight, a moulded stone architrave with plain rustication, a keystone, and an entablature. The remaining window openings have heavy rusticated arches and keyblocks. A rusticated plinth and quoins are also present. A moulded cornice runs along the eaves. The windows are sash windows in cased frames; the central window on the first floor has a moulded architrave and two keystones, while the others are three-light sash windows. Three gabled dormers with casements are visible in the roof, which is tiled. A smaller door on the left side has a similar fanlight and rusticated head, but lacks a surrounding frame. Inside, there is an early staircase. The building is part of a group value with other listed buildings along Mill Street on both sides.
