Description

A row of four cottages dating from the early 19th century, with later 19th-century additions to numbers 2, 3, and 4. The cottages have solid rendered walls and slated roofs. Numbers 2, 3, and 4 each feature two brick chimneys on a rear wall, while number 1 has chimneys on each end wall.

The cottages are arranged as two-storey, two-window ranges, with a doorway to the right of each, except for number 4, which has two ground-floor windows with the doorway positioned between them. Number 1 is set forward and is slightly taller than the others. Doorways at numbers 2 and 4 have flat wood canopies supported by long, curved brackets. The windows are box-framed sashes with six panes. Numbers 2, 3, and 4 have a bracketed eaves cornice. Number 1 has a late 20th-century dormer with small-paned wood casements. The interior was not inspected. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
