Description
This building at 72 High Street in Crediton is a house, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is part of a single construction with No. 71. The exterior is rendered with a slate roof, and there is a stack with a brick shaft that may be shared with No. 71. The house has two storeys and an asymmetrical front with one window. The projecting eaves are supported by moulded paired brackets, and there is a fascia below the eaves.
On the ground floor, to the left, there is a recessed panelled front door with an overlight, framed by a stucco eared shouldered architrave. To the right, there is a ground floor window featuring a late 19th century two-pane horned sash with margin panes. The first floor window is a tripartite sash, with 12 panes in the centre and 8 panes in the outer lights. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
