Description
This building at 73 High Street is an attached house dating from the 18th century. It features colourwashed smooth render and an imitation slate roof, with eaves and ridge heights that are lower than those of No 71 and higher than those of No 75. The end stacks are roughcast-clad, with the left stack topped by a more recent brick stack that is shared with No 71.
The house has a two-storey, three-window arrangement. On the first floor, there are three plate glass sash windows positioned just below the eaves. The ground floor has a slightly larger window on either side of a central doorway. The doorway features a 20th-century half-glazed door with a narrow plain overlight. All openings are framed with moulded rusticated surrounds, with the lower openings incorporating moulded keystones.
The forecourt is enclosed by short iron railings on a dwarf wall, complemented by a matching small gate with dog bars. The outer piers are square and rendered, with the left pier carrying a rough boulder, and there are stone rubble return walls on each side.
