Description
Hensleigh Farmhouse is a mid-19th century estate farmhouse. It features rendered rubble walls and a dry slate roof that slopes lower at the rear, with three gabled roof dormers at the front and two brick axial stacks. The building has a double-depth plan that includes an integral outshut and consists of three rooms at the front.
The exterior is two storeys plus an attic, with a symmetrical five-window front and doorways located in the second and fourth bays. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes at the front, while the rear has original two-light casements with glazing bars. The doors have overlights and are panelled.
The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be as unaltered as the exterior. The farmhouse forms a good group with the nearby farm buildings.
