Description

20 High Street is a former house built in the mid-19th century, now functioning as a restaurant with accommodation above. The building features blocked stucco beneath a gabled slate roof and stands three storeys tall, showcasing a symmetrical three-window arrangement. All windows are two-pane, hornless sashes with margin panes and sills supported by brackets. A plat band runs between the ground and first floors. The central porch is adorned with Tuscan columns in front of pilasters, all set on a plinth and accessed by three steps. The doorcase has depressed panel reveals and features a 20th-century glazed door topped by a rectangular fanlight. The eaves are highlighted by a projecting cornice with a dentilled band below.
