Description

Heath Court is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the late 17th century and 18th century, with a front added in the mid-19th century. The exterior is finished in stucco with limestone mouldings, features brick gable and ridge stacks, and has a slate roof at the front with pantiles at the back. The 19th-century work is designed in a Picturesque Tudor Gothic style.

The building has a double-depth plan, with a 19th-century front block and an L-shaped cross wing extending from the rear on the left, along with a parallel block on the right. It is three storeys high and has a three-window range. The gable ends are accentuated with clasping pilasters at the coping. A porch, located slightly right of centre, features a moulded two-centred arched doorway with a hood, a 20th-century door, and bargeboards that are pierced with trefoils and covered in hexagonal slates. To the right, there is a 20th-century conservatory.

The windows are casement style with horizontal bars and raised label moulds, including a three-light window on the right-hand side and a two-light window in the centre on the ground floor, along with a three-light window on the first floor and two-light attic windows with labels in large eaves dormers that have bargeboards. The left-hand gable has a single-window range near the front and a second matching porch on the parapeted rear block. There is a large dormer in the valley behind, and the rear block on the right features 6/6-pane sashes with brick jambs in the gable. The interior has not been inspected.
