Description

BRADNINCH MILLWAY (south-west side), SS 90 NE Bradninch 13/40 No.15 (Southview) - GV II Detached house. Circa 1840 with a later left-hand extension. Cob, stone plinth, plastered, under pretty slate roof, gabled-end to right, hipped to left. Right- hand end stack, and an axial stack (formerly a left-hand end stack). 2 storeys. Front: (to garden): 4 window range; entrance to right of centre under little moulded canopy. Upper windows with 8-pane hornless sashes, and retaining some crown glass. 3 ground-floor French windows, all of 2-lights, 5-panes and margin panes per light. All windows with external shutters. Moulded gutter box. Bargeboarding to gable ends. The garden wall extending along Millway, brick, Flemish bond, with black brick plinth and coping, stone-capped pilasters, and one garden and one wagon entrance (the latter with early C19 planked and panelled double gates), is included in this listing because of its contribution to the town scene.
