Description
No. 7 Millway is a house from the early 1830s, part of a row that includes adjoining properties 1 and 9. It is constructed of cob with a stone plinth and is plastered, topped with a slate roof. The house has axial and right-hand end stacks with brick shafts and stands two storeys tall.
The front features a three-window arrangement, with the two right-hand windows creating a symmetrical appearance alongside a central doorway. This doorway is sheltered by a simple canopy supported by shaped brackets and is framed with an architrave. All windows are hornless 8-pane sashes, some of which still have crown glass, and they are set within raised surrounds. The left-hand window, which is treated similarly but has a slightly higher sill, is positioned above a wagon entrance that has boarded double doors. The building also features strip quoins, and all first-floor window lintels are connected by a continuous horizontal band at the eaves level.
