Description

BRADNINCH MILLWAY (south-west side), SS 90 NE Bradninch 13/36 No. 1 - II GV House, forming part of a row. Early 1830s. Cob, stone plinth, plastered, under slate roof with crested ridge tiles. Left-hand axial stack, and an axial stack to rear wing, both with brick shafts. 2 storeys. Front: 5 bay symmetrical range, with a left-hand window bay with wagon entrance set at an angle and on the alignment of nos. 7-11, Millway (q.v.) All windows with hornless 8-pane sashes, some retaining crown glass. Central doorway under open pediment with architrave, the door and reveals with fielded panels. No. 1, Millway occupies an important site in Bradninch town centre at the junction of Millway, Fore Street and High Street.
