Description
The farmbuildings at Aldridge Mill Farm consist of a stable or shippon range with a loft above and a threshing barn, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble, featuring a tiled roof on the north range and a hipped slate roof on the east range. The layout forms an L shape, with two adjoining ranges that create a farmyard immediately to the east of Aldridge Mill Farmhouse.
The north range includes a loft and has a large entrance in the center, a small window, and two rounded doorways to the right, with the loft entrance located to the left of center. The east range is lofted only at the left end and has a lean-to attached at the front on the right side. It features a large doorway on the right with stone cheeks and paired doors, as well as two smaller doorways to the left with rounded arches. The right side of the barn, which faces the road, has one opening and an additional opening in the lean-to. These buildings form a cohesive group with the adjacent farmhouse along the roadside.
