Description

This is an irregular group of buildings at 7 to 13 Higher Shapter Street, Topsham. The structures largely date to the 17th century or earlier. The fronts are plastered and roughcast, with mostly gabled designs. The buildings contain sash windows. Number 7 has a porch entrance with a gabled wing and a splayed bay above. Numbers 9 and 11 feature 18th-century door hoods supported on brackets. Number 13 has been largely rebuilt. The buildings, as a group, contribute to the group value of the street.
