Description

Strand House is a late 17th century to early 18th century, three-storey stucco house located on Higher Shapter Street in Topsham, with its gable end facing the Strand. The building features a 18th century pedimented hood on brackets above the doorway. Although the exterior has been significantly altered and holds little interest, the interior boasts a well-preserved panelled room and staircase dating from 1690 to 1700. The house has a slate roof and is part of a group of listed buildings in Higher Shapter Street, which collectively enhance the historical value of the area.
