Description

These are four detached houses, numbered 1 to 4, built around 1840 on St Leonard’s Place. They are two storeys high with three windows each. Each house has a veranda supported by three-centred arches above basement windows. The eaves fascias have a trefoil edge and the roofs are slate, punctuated by gabled dormers with finials. Wooden trellis verandahs are present, although missing from number 4 and incomplete on number 1. Tuscan porches are located on the sides of the houses. Number 1 has hoodmoulds over its windows, and number 2 has window shutters. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Numbers 1 to 9, in sequence, form a group.
