Description

Canterbury Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Huntley Lane in Chardstock Hook. The building is constructed of stone rubble and has a thatched roof with gabled and half-hipped ends. It has two storeys and originally featured a three-window arrangement, now with small modern casement windows. A brick chimney stack is found at the gable end. A modern one-bay stone rubble extension with a tiled roof is attached to the northeast end of the cottage. The interior includes chamfered ceiling beams and a large open fireplace with a chamfered timber bressummer and stone jambs.
