Description

Higher Farway Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around the 16th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a tiled roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, with modern metal frame casements. There is a doorway to the right of the centre that has heavy rustication and a keystone. The farmhouse includes roughcast chimney stacks at the gable end and ridge, which have moulded concrete caps. Inside, the farmhouse has stopped chamfer ceiling beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressummer and stone jambs. It also features jointed cruck trusses.
