Description

The Leats is a house that was formerly a mill house, dating from around the early 18th century. It is said to have been rebuilt after a fire in the 18th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a steeply pitched corrugated iron roof with gabled ends. It has two storeys and attics, with a widely spaced arrangement of two or three windows. The windows are 19th-century three-light casements with glazing bars. There is a plain central recessed doorway and brick chimney stacks positioned over the gable ends. At the rear, there is a catslide roof covering a lean-to extension.
