Description

Hooper's Farmhouse is a circa early 18th century farmhouse situated on Mill Hill in Chardstock. The building is constructed of knapped flint with stone dressings and has a thatched roof with stone coping to the gable ends and a dentil eaves cornice. The farmhouse has two storeys and a long four-window front. It features 18th century three-light casement windows with leaded panes, set within plain stone architraves with keystones. A stone doorway is located to the left of the centre, featuring pilasters, a broken pediment, and a modern panelled door. Brick ridge and end chimney stacks are present. Modern single-storey stone wings have been added at either end of the farmhouse.
