ST 60 NW MINTERNE MAGNA HARTLEY STREET 4/158 26-1-56 Hartley Cottage Hermitage (formerly listed as Owl's Rest) - II Cottage, C17 with C18 extension. Rubble walls with thatched, gable- ended roofs and end and near end stacks in rubble and ashlar. T-plan One and a half-storeys, 4 window range. 2 left-hand windows were stone mullioned but central mullions are missing. 2-light casements with glazing bars. Ground floor right windows have wooden lintels. Hipped dormers. Doorway with chamfered 4-centred stone head and continuous jambs. RCHM, Dorset, vol I, p 169, no 5.
