Description

Little Thatch is a 17th-century cottage located on Church Street in Sturminster Newton. The building features squared rubble construction and a thatched roof with a gable end and an end brick stack. It has an L-plan layout with a rear wing and a 20th-century outshut that includes a front door on the right side. The ground floor openings are set under segmental stone arches, and the windows are wooden casements with two and three lights, all featuring glazing bars. Inside, there is a fireplace with a timber bressummer and chamfered ceiling beams.
