Description
This is a cottage, likely dating from the 17th century with a facade from around 1800. It is built of whitewashed brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a tiled roof and a brick stack slightly off-centre. The cottage is two storeys high and has a three-window front. The windows are wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor window openings are defined by segmental arches. A doorway is located just to the right of the stack, suggesting a possible cross-passage that backs onto the stack. Although the interior was not fully inspected, chamfered ceiling beams are visible. It is believed to be of the same construction as the adjacent cottages in Church Lane (number 16).
