Description
Nos 1 and 2 Albany Villas are mid-19th century semi-detached houses located on Salcombe Road. These three-storey buildings are faced with stucco and resemble Nos 1 to 13 Cambridge Terrace on the same road. They feature a low-pitched gable end slate roof with projecting eaves and a fretted fascia board. Each house has two recessed sash windows with later glazing, shouldered surrounds with keystones, and sills supported by consoles. There are cornices above the first-floor windows, while the ground floor includes canted hipped roof bay windows. The joint entrance has a shouldered surround and a cornice hood supported by brackets. One door is modern, while the other consists of four flush panels with narrow rectangular fanlights. Nos 1 to 13 Cambridge Terrace and Nos 1 and 2 Albany Villas form a group.
