Description

Pollards and Richmond Cottage is a pair of cottages, likely originally a single house, dating from the 17th century with later alterations and 20th-century additions. The cottages are constructed of rendered cob and have a thatched roof with one gable end. They are two storeys high and feature a five-window range, with four windows on the ground floor and five on the upper floor, all fitted with 19th and 20th-century three-light casements. Inside, the main ground-floor rooms of both cottages retain their chamfered beams, while Richmond Cottage has a stud and plaster partition above the stairs. The roof structure includes 18th-century trusses with principals and collars.
