Description
Pynes Hill Cottages is a 18th-century cottage located in Upton Pyne. It is constructed of rendered cob on a stone plinth and features a hipped thatched roof with a truncated stack at the left-hand end. The front of the cottage is almost symmetrical, with one window on each floor on either side of a slightly off-centre door, mostly fitted with 19th-century four-pane casements. There are no windows on the right (road) end, and only one small window on the first floor to the left of the stack at the other end. The back elevation is obscured by a 20th-century wooden extension. Internally, all features appear to be from the 19th century, although the interior was not inspected. This cottage is part of an attractive group that includes Nos. 1 and 2 Pynes Hill Cottages.
