Description

Rose Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the north side of Main Street, Upton, Headon cum Upton. The cottage is constructed of red brick, with some rendering to the base. It has a pantile roof and two red brick gable stacks. A decorative dogtooth band and raised eaves are also visible. The cottage is two storeys plus a garret, and has three bays. The central doorway features a panelled door and a perspex hood, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. Above these are two similar sashes. All window and door openings have flush wedge lintels. A two-storey extension is present at the rear. Inside, exposed beams are a notable feature.
