Description
Bankside Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that features a timber frame with redbrick nogging and a pantile roof. It has a single red brick central ridge stack and stands two storeys high with two bays. The entrance is a doorway with a plank door. To the right of the doorway is a single Yorkshire sash window, followed further right by a single fixed light. Above, there is a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash, with the remnants of another similar sash to the right. Additionally, there is a brick lean-to with a doorway on the right side. The rear of the cottage displays timbers that include three braces, two of which are curved, and there are two ground floor glazing bar Yorkshire sashes. Inside, the cottage features many beams.
